It has gotten so hot here. And it happened really fast. After a very wet, wet, wet Spring with lots of mud and water it is now super hot. I didn't even get much of an open windows season which is sad. I love being able to have my windows open and let the nice cool breezes come in the house. But this year we went from cold and rainy to hot, hot, hot overnight it seems. Guess I will have to wait for fall to enjoy having my windows open. It is way too hot for that now. The air conditioner is on non stop!
We were very blessed and super happy to find a CSA right down the road from our house. They are literally 5 miles away. So we joined up and now every Tuesday we get a box full of produce. It has been so nice!! And, even better, they have to drive right past our house to make their deliveries in town so I get front door service of fresh produce. What could be better?
Eating has been good. I have been keeping it simple, just fresh raw foods, salads, some juice. It is good. I am planning another trip to Chicago to go to Karyns wonderful raw food restaurant. I asked hubby if I could go at the end of September. We should have some extra money then, and it gives me enough time to try and put some money away. So I am hoping that it will all work out and I will get to go again, either with my Big Helper, or with my Golden Boy. I really want to go back. The food was just sooooooo good there!! :)
Guess that is all for now, just wanted to pop in and post something. I am still alive!! Just been busy. I will try to do better and post daily from now on. I do enjoy reading what I have written and it is very helpful to me so I need to make it a priority.
